You can address data privacy concerns regarding your personal data and other confidential information in connection with your application to our data privacy officer at any time, e.g. via e-mail to [email protected] or to our postal address.
You can apply online for a job in our company by filling out the application form provided on the website and sending it to us. Mandatory fields are marked as such in the form, all other information is optional and not a prerequisite for the application. If you voluntarily fill in this optional information, we will process it exclusively in connection with your application.
Your data in the form (including the documents, photos or other files uploaded in the process) is transmitted to us by submitting the form.
We process information that we require from you as part of the application process in order to review your application and to be able to contact you in this regard, e.g. your name, your email address, your telephone number, your CV. Optional information such as the link to your Linkedin profile, your preferred pronouns, your work visa status, information on how you heard about us as well as your letter of motivation are only processed by us if you provide them voluntarily. In addition, we process correspondence with you as part of the application process.
Your personal data will only be processed for the purpose of carrying out the application process. Your information will be treated as strictly confidential and will be encrypted during electronic transmission. The legal basis for the aforementioned processing as part of the application process is Section 26 of the Federal Data Protection Act in Germany (BDSG) (processing as part of the decision on an employment relationship), insofar as it concerns the mandatory information listed above. In contrast, we process optional information provided by you on the basis of your express consent pursuant to Art. 6 (1) sentence 1 lit. a GDPR.
Generally, we do not require any special categories of personal data within the meaning of Art. 9 GDPR (such as health data) for the application process. If such information is exceptionally relevant to the application process (e.g. in the case of a severe disability so that we can fulfil our legal obligations under labour and social law), we process this information together with the other data you provide. In this case, the legal basis for data processing is Art. 9 para. 2 lit. b GDPR in conjunction with. § 26 para. 3 BDSG.
If your application is successful, the documents and information provided will become part of your personnel file and will be stored and processed for the implementation and termination of the employment relationship.
In case your application gets rejected or withdrawn, your data and application documents will be deleted within 180 days after the end of the application process, unless you have given us your express consent in the application process to continue to store your data and application documents, e.g. for the purpose of considering you for another or future position (see paragraph 4 of this Privacy Policy).
If you have expressly given your consent after entering your data in the input mask ("Consent to extended data storage"), we will process your application documents and contact data also after the end of the application process in order to be able to contact you again, e.g. by e-mail or telephone, in the event of a subsequent or other job potentially suitable for you. The legal basis for the processing described above is Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 a. GDPR (processing based on the consent of the data subject). You can revoke your consent at any time with effect for the future. If you have given your consent to extended data storage, we will store your data for as long as you have not revoked your consent.
We will only pass on or transfer your personal data to third parties if this is necessary to fulfil contractual obligations with you, if there is a legitimate interest on our part, if you have given your consent and/or if we are obliged to do so by law or by official or court order.
To carry out the application process, we use an application tracking system from the third party provider Personio SE & Co. KG, Seidlstraße 3, 80335 München, Deutschland, which supports us with a software-as-a-service solution to carry out our application process efficiently and securely by digital means. We have concluded a data processing agreement with this service provider, which ensures that the service provider does not process your data for his own purposes, but only within the scope of our instructions and on our behalf. The legal basis for the use of the service provider is Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f) GDPR (processing is necessary to protect the legitimate interests of the controller) in conjunction with Art. 28 GDPR (commissioned processing).
