Workation

Do you want to leave the country for a while without using up your vacation days? Consider going on a workation! During a workation, you can work remotely, which means you are not bound to Berlin or any other city within Germany. It can boost creativity, reduce stress, and allows you to explore new places while staying productive – providing a refreshing change of scenery.

Location requirements

To ensure smooth collaboration and productivity during your workation, please keep the following guidelines in mind:

• Working hours: Depending on your role, you need to be able to work during the core hours you would typically work in Germany – especially if you work closely with customers. Therefore, the time difference should be manageable—starting work at 4 a.m. local time is too early. However, starting at 1 p.m. local time to align with a 9 a.m. start in Germany is still fine.
• Workspace Setup: Your workspace needs to enable productive working. This includes:
  • A proper desk and chair, ideally ergonomic
  • A quiet space for uninterrupted meetings
  • Temperature control (AC or heating), if needed
  • A stable and strong internet connection (100 MBit or more) </aside>
